The Snow Is Here!!

* REMINDER * REMINDER * REMINDER *

Streets will be plowed at 2 inches of accumulation. Like city roads, only streets will be cleared, along with common area sidewalks. If you happen to notice a sidewalk in the common area that has not been cleared, please contact Kramer-Triad's Customer Service Department and report the location. The Contractor will be contacted immediately.
When the forecast calls for an accumulation of 2 or more inches of snow, please help the Contractor by moving your vehicles off the streets. It is also the homeowners responsibility to clear the sidewalks in front of your homes within 24 hours of snowfalls.
Should you have any questions, please contact Kramer-Triad.

Thank you!

What about the sidewalks at the clubhouse? Those will be slippery w/o 2 inches of snow. Since that is where kids catch the bus, will those sidewalks be salted to prevent ice, or will they only be maintained if there is 2 inches of snow?

This is not included in the contract. I talked to Dean at Kramer-Triad and he said that we could put a large bucket of salt at the clubhouse and possibly have parents put it down when it's icy.

How about salt on the roads? Beechwood is pretty much iced over

Having the Snow Removal Company come out to salt the roads, regardless of the amount of snow, is not in the contract. There was a significant increase in the contract amount to have them come out and salt more frequently. When certain areas area really bad, we can contact Dean. He will come out and check the roads and then contact the Snow Company accordingly. I will let Dean know about Beechwood and see if we could have the two main road salted.

Here we go again. Same problems as last year. The minimal amount of salt they laid down last year was totally ineffective and now they want to charge more. What does our contract with them include? Can you post it to the blog or tell me how to obtain a copy. And if there was such an increase in contract price, maybe we need to shop around. It makes no sense to pay someone to do an incomplete job.

I agree with chuck - beechwood is atrocious.
